On October 6th, members of the Armstrong Fire Department visited AES and spoke to our primary classes. Their talk was about fire safety and how to get out of your home if there was a fire. They reminded everyone to check their smoke detectors to make sure they are on and working. They asked all students to take home a fire safety booklet. In it there are ideas for a home escape plan, how to prevent and escape from a fire in your home and it has a Home Safety Checklist. Students can enter a draw to go out for lunch with the firemen in the fire truck. Form must be in by Thursday, October 9th. The winner of the draw will go out for lunch on Friday, October 10th at 11:30. Good luck everyone and take care to prevent fire hazards!
